Challenges
Dealing with SAP systems has led to significant expenses in terms of hardware (HANA) and user licenses. This has resulted in delays in onboarding new team members since purchasing licenses and learning how to navigate the complex systems took time. Additionally, the team found it challenging to customize the systems to meet their specific business requirements. Any change required an expert consultant who would take a long time and also charge heavily.
The scope of work included manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, and selling along with accounting, HR, and Payroll.
Benefits
Sanskar Technolob successfully tackled tasks related to data transformation, data validation, migration of both master and transactional data, data backup, and post-migration monitoring, and went live in a record time of 2 months. This is only possible because of Sanskar Technolab's unique 4-step migration process from SAP to ERPNext.
Starting from the financial year 1st April 2024, they have fully transitioned to ERPNext and ceased the use of SAP. The User Interface of ERPNext is intuitive and easy to navigate, significantly reducing the learning curve for their team members and allowing them to quickly adapt to the new system. The platform is web and user-friendly, ensuring easy accessibility from anywhere, at any time. This feature has proven invaluable for their remote and hybrid working arrangements. ERPNext seamlessly integrates with their existing business processes and requirements, including WhatsApp.
Overall, the transition has reduced license costs, allowed them to leverage unlimited users on ERPNext via Frappe Cloud, and made onboarding of new members faster. In the future, Vijay Mamra is planning to build a website on Frappe Builder and use Frappe Insights for advanced reporting tools and customizable dashboards to gain deeper insights into our business performance.
